Lynn Kuehn is a health care consultant with more than 35 years of experience in the health care profession. Prior to founding Kuehn Consulting, LLC, she held a number of leadership positions in large health care organizations. Her experience includes operational assessment, coding and reimbursement system training for a variety of provider types, data quality, and compliance training.
Ms. Kuehn's technical expertise and experience have led her to co-author ICD-10-PCS: An Applied Approach and several other texts for the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) She is the author of the popular series of ICD-10-PCS and other online courses offered through Libman Education.
Ms. Kuehn is an active speaker and educator, having presented seminars for employers and associations throughout the country on ICD-10-PCS. Ms. Kuehn is a requested speaker at many component state associations of AHIMA. She was a member of the Faculty for the AHIMA Train-the-Trainer Academies and is an AHIMA-approved ICD-10-CM/PCS Trainer.
In her volunteer role, she served as the chair of the Board of Directors for the AHIMA Foundation and has served as a member of the Board of Directors for AHIMA, the Council on Certification and national chairman of various committees. She also has received the Literary Legacy Award and the Educator-Practitioner Collaborative Award from AHIMA, been named Distinguished Member and given the Distinguished Service Award by the Wisconsin Health Information Management Association.
Ms. Kuehn holds a M.S. degree in Health Services Administration from Cardinal Stritch University and a B.S. degree in Health Information Administration from the Viterbo University. She is a Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), a Certified Coding Specialist for Physicians (CCS-P) and a Fellow of the American Health Information Management Association.
